Opening Day: Roland L. Freeman Portfolio

/// March 27, 2021

Opening today at Ogden Museum of Southern Art is the exhibition, Roland L. Freeman – Portfolio

Roland L. Freeman is one of the most important documentarians of 20th century Black American culture. The twelve photographs contained within the Roland L. Freeman – Portfolio were culled from hundreds of published and unpublished photographs made by the photographer from 1969-1985. These photographs speak to the cultural diversity and regional traditions of Black American life – from the rural countryside to the urban city centers of the South.

Today and tomorrow, in celebration of the exhibition opening, Ogden Museum members get 20% off items in the Museum Store. Some exclusions may apply.
