About the Kohlmeyer Circle

The Kohlmeyer Circle is a special level of Ogden Museum membership for young art patrons and collectors, ages 21 – 45, with a passion for Southern art and a desire to be more involved with the Museum and the New Orleans creative community. Each year, Kohlmeyer Circle members experience exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of Museum exhibitions, artist studios and private collections, giving them the opportunity to engage with Southern art, get to know artists, learn about collecting and network with one another.

The Kohlmeyer Circle has over 100 members from a diverse variety of backgrounds and professions. Kohlmeyer Circle members also enjoy all the benefits of a Supporting level membership and invitations to private exhibition previews, special events, evening receptions with the Director and much more. Membership in the Kohlmeyer Circle is $175 per individual and $350 per couple, and flexible monthly or quarterly payment plans are available.

  • Unveiling reception for a recent Ogden Museum acquisition by William Monaghan, private tour at the Contemporary Arts Center of William Monaghan : I-Object and reception and tour at William Monaghan’s studio
  • Cocktail reception and viewing of Christopher Alfieri’s art collection in his home
  • Exclusive tour of the Historic New Orleans Collection exhibition Art of the City: Postmodern to Post-Katrina presented by The Helis Foundation, guided by curator Jan Gilbert
