Ogden Museum’s Education Internship Program aims to connect young professionals to a career in the arts and museum field. The Education Internship Program serves New Orleans area college and university students with the goal of building professional networks, developing leadership skills and empowering young professionals to continue the pursuit of higher education and a career in the arts. The internship provides immersion in a museum environment and ample opportunities to work alongside museum professionals and exhibiting artists. The Education Internship Program provides a résumé-building opportunity.
The Education Intern will work closely with the Director of Education and Education Manager to assist with the planning and organization of activities presented by the Education Department. The Education Intern will assist in the creation of the education department’s educational content with a focus on audience engagement and interpretation. The intern will also assist with the operation of Ogden Museum Summer Camps and Museum tours.
Goal: At the completion of the internship program, the intern will have gained a better understanding of careers in museum and arts education.
