Education Internship

SUMMER 2024 APPLICATIONS OPEN

The Education Internship Program serves college and university students with the goal of building professional networks, developing leadership skills and empowering young professionals to pursue a career in the arts. The internship provides immersion in a museum environment and ample opportunities to work alongside museum professionals and exhibiting artists.

What will you do? 

The Education Intern will work closely with the Learning & Engagement Manager and Museum Educators to assist with the planning of programs presented by the Learning & Engagement Department. The summer internship primarily consists of assisting with the operation of Ogden Museum Summer Camps and Museum tours. Due to the high demand of the summer camps, the internship calls for a 30 hour a week commitment from June 3 through July 26, 2024.

Who should apply? 

Students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the arts, education or museums are encouraged to apply.

Preferred skils

  • Experience working with kids
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Classroom management skills a plus
  • Creative problem solver
  • Passion for arts, education or museums
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office
  • Graphic design skills a plus

HBCU Internship

The HBCU Internship Program serves HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and University) students with the goal of building professional networks, developing leadership skills and empowering young professionals to pursue a career in the arts. The internship provides immersion in a museum environment and ample opportunities to work alongside museum professionals and exhibiting artists.

What will you do? 

The HBCU Intern will work closely with the Learning & Engagement Manager and Museum Educators to assist with the planning of programs presented by the Learning & Engagement Department.
