The Center for Southern Craft & Design presents its 19th annual juried exhibition, Art of the Cup. Since its launch, the exhibition has featured over 1,044 cups and teapots created by world-class Southern ceramicists. To celebrate 19 years, Art of the Cup 2026 will be juried by Ina Kaur, Curator of Creative Practice at the Newcomb Art Museum, and exhibited in Ogden Museum Store’s Center for Southern Craft & Design, with the cups available for purchase.
Important dates:
Ina Kaur is an interdisciplinary artist, curator and educator from New Delhi, India, who now lives and works in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her practice explores materiality, memory, labor, identity and community engagement through clay, printmaking and mixed media. Kaur holds an MFA from Tulane University and Purdue University and a BFA from Chandigarh College of Art.
Kaur’s work has been exhibited throughout North America and India and is represented in public and private collections. In addition to her studio practice, she is engaged in collaborative and community-centered initiatives that bridge contemporary art, craft and social practice. She currently serves as Curator of Creative Practice at the Newcomb Art Museum.
