Louisiana Contemporary, Presented by the Helis Foundation has been an opportunity for the Ogden Museum of Southern Art to highlight Louisiana’s contemporary art culture for the last eight years. In 2018, the exhibition featured work by 24 artists from across the state with 34 works of art on view. This year’s Juror will be David Breslin, the DeMartini Family Curator and Director of the Collection at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

The 2019 online submission deadline is Wednesday, June 5 at 5 p.m. All mailed submissions must be postmarked by Friday, May 31. Louisiana Contemporary, Presented by The Helis Foundation will open on Saturday, August 3 during Whitney White Linen Night, an annual event in the Arts District of New Orleans.
