Photography & Exhibition Design Camp
/// June 22 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Photography & Exhibition Design Camp
For campers entering grades 6 – 12
June 22 through June 26 and July 6 through July 10 (2 week) | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Discover a new way of seeing in this engaging digital photography program facilitated by photographer Ariya Aladjem Wolf.
Students will learn the fundamental elements of photography—including composition, exposure, and lighting—while creating meaningful, thought-provoking work. They’ll explore photography as storytelling through documentary and still-life projects and gain exposure to professional artwork through daily field trips to local arts institutions. In the classroom, students will practice critique and develop a strong portfolio of work that reflects their creative growth.
To close out the program, students plan the final exhibition opening on White Linen Night at Ogden Museum. Students will learn photo matting techniques and the curation process.
Students are encouraged to bring their own digital camera or phone camera. A limited number of digital cameras are available for students to use at the Museum. Students should come to camp each day with a water bottle, snack, lunch and an extra layer.
