Panelists and New Southern Photography photographers, RaMell Ross, Jared Soares and Celestia Morgan, examined the New Southern Photography exhibition and L. Kasimu Harris’ essay, “The Dismantling of Southern Photography,” touching on the historical and contemporary disparities within the canon of Southern photography that exist along lines of race, gender and sexual orientation. Moderated by L. Kasimu Harris, New Orleans writer and artist.
