Happy Halloween! It’s that creepy, spooky time of year again. Create one last holiday inspired activity before the season ends.

Supplies

Paper tubes, String, Glue, Scissors and Color paper.

Instructions

Step 1: Let’s get spooky! Grab your supplies and think about what kind of monster you would like to make? Do you want to make a scary monster like a vampire, mummy, werewolf or Frankenstein’s monster? Maybe you’d rather make a princess, or even your own creative creature?

Step 2: Once you’ve decided on a monster, grab the construction paper and paper tube. Pick out what color paper you want to use as the base for your monster.

Step 3: Wrap the paper tube with a sheet of construction paper. Use scissors to cut the extra paper off.

Step 4: Once you have the base color the correct size, use glue to glue the construction paper to the paper tube.

Step 5: Think about the facial features, clothing or body parts of your monster. What facial expression will your monster have? Does it have wings, or a tail? Use scissors to cut out facial features and other details for your monster like wings, arms or legs from the construction paper.

Step 6: Once you have all of the details of the monster, use glue to attach the details to the base of the monster.

Step 7: After letting the monster dry, grab a piece of string and use glue to attach the string to the top inside part of the tube.

Step 8: Congratulations! You’ve created a spooky creature. Show your artwork to your family and friends. Then hang your spooky monster(s) around your house!
