Join Young Audiences of Louisiana for “Baby Artsplay! TM,” presented by The Helis Foundation.

This free 6-part workshop series is made possible by The Helis Foundation. The 30-minute workshops provide engaging arts-based activities designed to instruct caregivers on how to use the arts at home to promote early learning. Lessons are conducted by certified Louisiana Wolf Trap Teaching Artists, who have expertly crafted multi-sensory experiences that foster children’s natural curiosity for learning. After each workshop, children and their caregivers can download digital Connection Cards for tips on how workshop activities can be continued at home.

Sept. 5  – Oh, What A Feeling! (Emotional Development)

Sept. 12 – Hello, Friend… (Social Skills)

Toddlers tend to garner attention wherever they go, but even our little celebrities need friends. Relationships are the building blocks of healthy development. Learn how to nurture your child’s innate desire for social connection this week during our YALA Baby Artsplay!™ workshop, “Hello, Friend…”

Sept. 19 – Express Yourself (Early Language)

To the untrained ear, it’s just babbling, but we know that your little one is carefully crafting the foundations of a lifetime of language. Learn how to encourage confidence in language and put your child on the starting line to literacy. Join us this week in our YALA Baby ArtsPlay!™ workshop, “Express Yourself.”

Sept. 26 – Tiny Motor Scooters (Fine Motor Skills)

Like the little engine that drives the train, fine motor skills drive the everyday lives of us all. How do you practice for everyday life? Let us show you how to get their tiny muscles moving during this week’s YALA Baby ArtsPlay!™ workshop, “Tiny Motor Scooters.”

Oct. 3 – Baby Balancing Acts (Bilateral Integration)

One of your child’s first executions of bilateral coordination is crawling, but they’ve only just begun! Learn how you can support your little one and promote healthy brain maturation through joyful learning. Join us this week during our YALA Baby Artsplay!™ workshop, “Baby Balancing Acts.”

Oct. 10 – Tiny Household Helpers (Multiple Development Areas)
