Teacher Workshop Exploring Memory is a Strange Bell: The Art of William Christenberry

/// October 15, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us for a workshop exploring our new exhibition Memory is a Strange Bell: The Art of William Christenberry. Perhaps no other artist in the American South engaged more deeply and consistently with the concepts of time, place and memory through their work than William Christenberry. Although widely known as a pioneering master of color photography as an art form, Christenberry was a multifaceted artist – utilizing painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, found object assemblage and installations to weave a deeply personal narrative with universal relevance.

This workshop will include a guided tour of the exhibition, original lessons plans designed to engage students in works on exhibition and dinner!

This workshop is full. Please email education@ogdenmuseum.org to be placed on the waitlist.
