Aspiring photographers of all levels are invited to join teaching artist Leah Floyd for a hands-on program designed to develop the skills needed to capture and construct powerful photographs. Campers will engage in group activities as well as receive individual instruction as they learn the basic elements of photography such as composition, exposure and the functions of their camera. The young photographers will then focus on visual storytelling/documentary techniques, portraiture and experiment with photo collage. At the conclusion of the program, campers will leave with a portfolio of edited images and a selection of their work will be exhibited during White Linen Night at Ogden Museum. Photography campers may use any type of digital camera (including phone cameras).
