In this Movement Monday Activity, create your own still life through a scavenger hunt.

Still life is a term used by artists to describe art that depicts all kinds of man-made or natural objects such as; cut flowers, fruit, vegetables, fish or wine. The goal of a still life composition is to direct the viewer’s eye through a painting. The subject matter chosen highlights what the artist thinks is important.

Supplies

Everyday objects; fruits, vegetables, toys, flowers, shoes, etc.

Step 1: With the help of a parent or guardian, find objects that you would like to use to make your still life out of. It can be any household object like apples, a vase, flowers, etc.

Step 2: Think of an area in your house where you would like to put your still life. Where would the light touch the objects? What area of the objects would have the least amount of light?

Step 3: Once you collect all the objects you want to use, sort them in the area you chose. Make sure that all of the objects are put close together.

Step 4: Now that you have put the objects in an arrangement, with the help of a parent or guardian, take a picture of your still life!

En esta actividad de lunes de movimiento, crea tu propia naturaleza muerta a través de una búsqueda del tesoro.

Naturaleza muerta es un término utilizado por los artistas para describir el arte que representa todo tipo de objetos naturales o artificiales como; cortar flores, frutas, verduras, pescado o vino. El objetivo de una composición de naturaleza muerta es dirigir la mirada del espectador a través de una pintura. El tema elegido resalta lo que el artista cree que es importante.

Materiales

Objetos cotidianos, frutas, vegetales, juguetes, flores, zapatos, etc.

Instrucciones

Paso 1: Con la ayuda de un padre o tutor, busca objetos que te gustaría usar para hacer tu naturaleza muerta. Puede ser cualquier objeto doméstico como manzanas, jarrones, flores, etc.

Paso 2: Piensa en un área de tu casa dónde te gustaría colocar la naturaleza muerta. ¿En qué partes la luz tocaría los objetos? ¿Qué área de los objetos tendría la menor cantidad de luz?

Paso 3: Una vez que hayas recolectado todos los objetos que deseas usar, ordénalos en el área que elijas. Asegúrate de que todos los objetos estén juntos.

Paso 4: Luego de haber organizado los objetos de una determinada forma, con la ayuda de un padre o tutor, ¡toma una foto de tu naturaleza muerta!

Composición: la forma en que se organizan los elementos de una obra de arte dentro del plano.
