Refresh your day with a free, thirty-minute “drop in” meditation at Ogden Museum led by Museum Educator and yoga instructor Mikhayla Harrell.
Being in the moment is essential for appreciating a great work of art. The tools of mindfulness meditation enhance our ability to stay present with our everyday lives and aesthetic experiences. By cultivating awareness, we can create calm and peace amidst our to-do lists, errands, family and work life and bring the creative spark of Southern art into the art of our everyday lives.
In Buddhist traditions, learning and practice is always free, but the practice of Dāna is an act of practicing generosity. Please consider a donation to help us continue to present creative arts programming inspired by Southern art and artists. This program is free with admission. If you are a Louisiana resident, admission is free on Thursdays.
All experience levels are welcome. Chairs and cushions are provided. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the session begins.
