Sleazeball Orchestra at Ogden After Hours

/// October 31, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Sorry, but you’re about to be seduced by New Orleans lunatics – the Sleazeball Orchestra. The scandalous Fräulein Frances (Kitty Baudoin), South Louisiana born-and-bred, fronts the band. After teething her fangs on the legs of local music legends, she’s taken her show on the road since the 80s, with long stayovers in California and Hawaii. She bewitches audiences with her lounge lizard style, Yma Sumac vocal range and love of the Sleaze inside every jazz tune. New Orleans native, bassist and musical director Stoo Odom (ex-Graves Brothers Deluxe, Thin White Rope, Subarachnoid Space) comes from an avant-psych rock world and inflicts his aesthetics onto Sleazeball jazz – after refining them in every dive from Hattiesburg to Osaka since 1991. Supported by the finest musicians in New Orleans, they will help you get back in touch with the Sleaze inside jazz. There’s been nothing quite like it since Lee Dorsey founded New Orleans in 1718. Or something like that.

Wear your Halloween costume to the Ogden Museum on October 31 and receive a free admission pass for a future visit to the Museum or Ogden After Hours! Admission on this day is free for Louisiana residents from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., courtesy of The Helis Foundation Art for All program!
