Ogden Museum welcomes artists of all backgrounds to experience the practice of figure drawing in the historic rotunda of the Patrick F. Taylor Library.
Guided by Museum Educator Myron Solomon Jr., each session presents a unique opportunity to sketch from a live, nude model while honing observational drawing skills. Basic materials are provided, and participants are also encouraged to bring their preferred sketching tools. No prior experience is necessary—just bring an open mind and be ready to enjoy the creative process.

joinAbout Teaching Artist Myron Solomon, Jr
Myron Solomon, Jr. is an interdisciplinary visual artist from New Orleans. A Dillard University BFA and School of Visual Arts MFA graduate, his work pushes beyond traditional New Orleans art while honoring its cultural roots. Exploring existential themes, Myron uses hyperbole to evoke introspection in his audience. His passion for the arts extends to education, where he shares his knowledge with youth, aiming to inspire the same transformative experiences that shaped his own journey.
