Artist Workshop with Eugenia ‘AO’ Carmona
/// May 10 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Event Navigation
On Mother’s Day weekend, treat your mom to an engaging workshop with artist Eugenia Carmona. The workshop explores the exhibition Crescent Cityscapes through a personal lens – participants will create shadow boxes of their Crescent City memories.
The day will begin with a walk-through of Crescent Cityscapes and discussion of the architecture, mood and technical features of select work. Participants will use notions of memory and mood to create a miniature mixed-media painting. Through a layered composition students will build a shadow box depicting a place that resonates with them.
Participants are encouraged to bring photo reference images for the workshop. All painting levels are welcome, but some painting experience will be helpful.
