Experience the Art of the American South with the O from home!
Every other Thursday, from 2 – 3 p.m., join us for a LIVE Art Challenge inspired by a work of Southern art. Use everyday household items to create your own masterpiece!
For our first challenge, we will be examining the art of Entwined artist, Ed Williford, and learn how to cast organic objects.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Cardboard and paper (grocery bags, newspaper, old copy paper, package boxes, phone books, etc.)
- White glue or modge podge
- Flour
- Water
- Large flat bucket or pan
- 1-2” brushes
- Old nails, screws or any other rusted old nick nacks
- Large covered workspace
- A large piece of cardboard to work on
- Tea towels for drying area
- Twisty ties, bailing wire or any other type of leftover household wire you can use to wrap and bind your objects
This live class is led by Ogden Museum Educator, Mikhayla Harrell. Ages 18 and up. All experience levels welcome.
