Artist Spotlight: Lily Fein
Ogden Museum’s Center for Southern Craft and Design is proud to spotlight ceramist, Lily Fein. Fein says, “Clay excites me for its immediate and direct response to touch as I coil and pinch layers of porcelain to create pieces imbued with the intimacy of the finger-marked surface. The objects I create use the vessel as a metaphor for the body, sometimes inverting and challenging the distinction between the interior or exterior.” The Center for Southern Craft and Design in the Museum Store will spotlight Fein and her ceramics in our artist spotlight from April 1 to May 31 as one of the South’s master folk artists.
