A collage that Daphne made inspired this piece. I really enjoy creating unique portraits, so I hole-punched the girl’s eyes out and cut her head open, spilling out the words “Joy.” The red letters compliment the green leafy background, which helps pull the collage together. The girl has a calm expression on her face while her life is quickly spiraling out of control. All that matters is that she remains optimistic.
