In this workshop, participants will explore a variety of materials to create unique and interesting Pom Poms with endless uses. Level up your gift packaging by making ornaments or fan pulls.

All materials provided. Must be 18 or older to attend. Adult beverages and zero proof drinks are included in registration fee.

About Karen Gadbois

Karen Gadbois is a lifelong textile artist with deep roots in a family of sewing and fabric artisans. Her practice blends tradition with experimentation, informed by over a decade spent living in Mexico, where she designed and printed textiles influenced by local techniques. Now working between her studios in New Orleans and Mississippi, Gadbois continues to explore the creative possibilities of fiber through weaving, sewing and mixed-media work.

Gadbois’ process is intuitive and grounded in sustainability, often incorporating scraps of silk and unexpected materials from her ever-growing collection of remnants. Whether weaving intricate panels or crafting whimsical pom-poms, Karen Gadbois brings a playful, textural sensibility to every piece, honoring both heritage and the handmade.
