Named after the infamous South Louisiana swamp rat, Nutria is an instrumental trio that performs original compositions with an emphasis on collective improvisation. Their music explores jazz, chamber music and traditional music of African diaspora and Eastern Europe, while staying true to New Orleans jazz and groove traditions.
