SUMMARY:Last Chance to Apply for Ogden Museum Teen Internship Program
DESCRIPTION:Calling New Orleans Teens in grades 8 – 10! Today is your last chance to submit an application for the 2024-2025 Teen Internship Program! \nOgden Museum of Southern Art’s Teen Internship Program\, formerly the Ogden Museum Teen Docent Program\, is designed to provide teens a space to explore the arts and develop their creative voice. \n\nParticipate in monthly instructional art workshops and encounters with artists\, educators and museum staff\nExpand knowledge of the arts and related careers\nServe as assistants for Ogden Museum’s Summer Art Camp\nLearn how to give guided tours to Museum visitors\nEarn a monthly stipend for participation\n\nDuring the summer\, Teen Interns will participate in five weeks of training\, learning and assisting with Fine Arts Fundamentals Camp\, followed by a three-week intensive\, featuring museum career exploration\, community outreach\, engagement with other cultural institutions and art workshops. During the school year\, Teen Interns meet monthly to further develop their artistic practice through artist workshops\, curation of a teen exhibition and assisting with Museum programming. \nTeen Interns receive a stipend of $1000 for the 8-week summer program and $50 per meeting during the school year. Teens meet Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. during June and July and once monthly for 4-8 hours during the school year.
