DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, August 3 at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. for a guided tour of Louisiana Contemporary\, presented by The Helis Foundation\, with this year’s juror Lauren Haynes\, Head Curator of Governors Island Arts and Vice President for Arts and Culture at the Trust for Governors Island. \nDuring this interactive tour\, Ms. Haynes will discuss a selection of work from the exhibition alongside artists from this year’s exhibition who will be on hand to contribute to the interactive dialogue and offer further insights into their work. Different artworks will be discussed on each tour. \nThis tour is free and open to the public\, but pre-registration is requested. \nThe 2 p.m. tour has reached capacity! DESCRIPTION:Ogden Museum of Southern Art and Arts District New Orleans invite you to the Official Afterparty for the 30th Anniversary of Fidelity Bank White Linen Night! The party will feature DJs\, cash bars\, food trucks and a special couture fashion activation by Arts New Orleans’ Salon Studios. \n$40 / $50 at door \npurchase tickets\nMust be 21 or up to purchase ticket. \n\nDJs \nDJ Rakimbeau\nDJ Rozay \nFood Trucks \nLa Cocinitas \nArts New Orleans’ Salon Studios \nFrom 10 to 11:30 p.m.\, be welcomed into the Museum by illuminated couture designs crafted by Salon Studios’ fashion designers. Salon Studios\, a residency partnership between Arts New Orleans and Canal Place Shopping Center\, will have its five fashion designers light up the Afterparty\, with designer having a model representing their brands in illuminated couture designs. The five designers include: Renée Johnson of Afri Modiste\, VanShawn Kayie Branch of Kayie\, Denisio Truitt of Denisio Truitt\, Nicholas Linson of St. Nick and Jehlani Nasira of Asira.
