SUMMARY:Currents 2017: Opening Reception and PhotoWalk
DESCRIPTION:CURRENTS is an annual exhibition which was initiated to highlight the contemporary photographic work created by New Orleans Photo Alliance Members. Join us for a reception celebrating the opening of the exhibition from 5 – 7 p.m.\, featuring a juror’s talk by Richard McCabe\, Curator of Photography for the Ogden Museum. Following the reception\, there will be an evening portfolio review of participants in this PhotoNOLA event in the Patrick F. Taylor Library from 7 – 9 p.m. Over 70 artists will have their current work on view\, covering every aspect of the photographic spectrum\, from antiquarian processes to cutting edge documentary work. \nThis event is free and open to the public.
