DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with Ogden After Hours featuring the Jamaican Me Breakfast Club\, Frances Rodriguez will be in the Library with a mini version of her in-store pop-up! Her work is hand-stitched and painted with love and makes a perfect Mother’s Day Gift! \nThe Center for Southern Craft & Design is presenting a month-long (March 29 – April 30) in-store pop-up featuring the work of Frances Rodriguez\, who lives and works in New Orleans\, Louisiana. The red clay earth and lightning bugs from her childhood in Alabama left a distinct impression that carried into her textile degree work at The Rhode Island School of Design. Patterns\, textures and colors from the South’s natural world consistently appear in both her textile and painted pieces. Frances is inspired by water\, warm tropical heat and the playful spirit of the animal world. In response\, her artwork reflects the humor\, quietude and brightness of possibility.
