DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special edition of Ogden After Hours as we celebrate the opening of two new exhibitions\, Each One Teach One: 100 Years of Art From Xavier University of Louisiana and Art of the Cup. Featuring vocalist Caren Green!  \nIn addition to the live music\, enjoy: \n\nA food pop-up\nA cash bar\nA kids’ art activity table\n\n$15 adult / $7 child \nTickets\nOgden After Hours are free for Museum Members. Learn more about membership perks by visiting here. \nOgden After Hours is sponsored in part by the New Orleans Recreation and Culture Fund. \n\nAbout Caren Green \nCaren Green is a vocalist\, songwriter\, poet and musician from New Orleans\, whose work blends soul\, jazz\, gospel and hip-hop influences. A Xavier University of Louisiana alumna\, Green studied Vocal Performance under Dr. Ware and Earlin Vincent and piano with Dr. Coleman\, also mentoring with Broadway star Lady BJ Crosby. \nGreen’s debut album\, The Greenhouse Effect (2017)\, set the stage for performances at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival\, French Quarter Fest\, House of Blues and other notable venues. She has collaborated with Mia X\, Dee-1\, PJ Morton and shared stages with Juvenile\, Mystikal and Monica. Winner of the 2018 Sing Like a Star competition\, Caren Green is also a mother\, doula and child advocate\, channeling life experiences and spirituality into her music. \n\n\n\n\n\nHer forthcoming album\, Sunflower\, is slated for release in 2026. Green continues to inspire with her message: “Be the light.” \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Ogden After Hours \nOgden After Hours (OAH) is a monthly event that takes place on select Thursdays and features a diverse lineup of programs reflecting and celebrating the diversity of Southern art and culture.
