DESCRIPTION:KatieCat & Cain have been delighting audiences for more than a decade with their fun to sophisticated vocal harmonies and unique interpretations of many styles of music\, including jazz\, blues\, bossa nova\, international favorites and vintage popular music. \nThey met in San Diego\, California in 2007 at The Bahia Hotel when Katie walked into the Tangier Lounge where John was playing piano. Katie continued to show up to sing at The Tangier Lounge and the chemistry between the two soon pulled them into the same music and life orbit. They have been together since. \nJohn Cain was born in Seattle\, Washington to a musical family and began to work professionally as a bass player at the age of 15. Over half a century later\, John is a seasoned musician and entertainer. He plays a multitude of instruments in addition to his primary identity as a singer and piano player. John’s other talents include song writing\, music orchestration\, arranging\, conducting and production. He also wrote a memoir entitiled “Life’s a Good Gig\,” which was nominated for best non-fiction in the 2008 San Diego Book and Writer’s Awards. He was an educator for both The Advocates For Classical Music and The SoCal Jazz Society in San Diego\, California\, where he made his home for many years. \nKatie Catinella was born in Napa\, California. She studied voice\, guitar and theater arts at San Francisico State University. After graduating\, she honed her skills as a musician in a variety of Bay Area ensembles\, including The Oakland Symphony Chorus. She continued her music education at The Jazz School in Berkeley\, California and performed  regularly as a jazz vocalist in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2006 she moved to San Diego\, California and joined the jazz quintet “Blackbird Jazztet” as lead vocalist. \nTogether\, KatieCat & Cain have enjoyed many music and life adventures. In 2016\, they married and moved to Cuenca\, Ecuador\, where they set up their own venue and entertained both the locals and expats. DESCRIPTION:Kim Carson\, was born in Oklahoma\, raised in Texas and lives in New Orleans. She has a lot of influences in her brand of Louisiana Tonkabilly music including Hank Williams\, Merle Haggard\, Loretta Lynn\, Buck Owens\, Waylon Jennings and Ray Price. \nCarson performs her original songs with some Classic Twang.  She is surely a “one of a kind artist” and has been named “Best Country Artist” by the readers of the OffBeat Magazine eight times. She has performed 22 times at the most prestigious “Jazz & Heritage Festival” in New Orleans and is a regular at the French Quarter Festival and many festivals across the south. \nCarson and her band\, “The Real Deal\,” play Roadhouse’s and Honky Tonks from Luckenbach\, Texas to the Florabama. Carson is also an ambassador of the New Orleans music scene\, touring Europe every year since 2000 with her band\, headlining festivals and Music Clubs across Europe in Germany\, Switzerland\, France\, Austria\, Denmark\, Norway\, Spain\, Italy\, Ireland and England. \nAfter building a name for herself as the undisputed “Queen of Louisiana Honky Tonk Music\,” she has distinguished herself as a formidable Country & Honky Tonk songwriter. \nCarson has released 13 albums to date available on iTunes and cdbaby\, Pandora and Spotify. \nPurchase Tickets

SUMMARY:Marc Stone 3 with Sam Price and Michael Burkart
DESCRIPTION:Roots and blues slide guitarist and songwriter\, Marc Stone\, returns to Ogden After Hours with a special acoustic trio performance. Joining Marc will be Honey Island Swamp Band bassist Sam Price\, leader of both Otra and the True Believers. Price has been a frequent collaborator with Stone for more than 20 years\, as has Raw Oyster Cult and Mikey B3 Band keyboardist/vocalist\, Michael Burkart. All three have played together in a multitude of combinations and projects going back to the wide open days (and nights) of 1990s Frenchmen Street. Individually\, they have worked with an enormous array of legendary artists and notable bands\, each making their distinct mark on the New Orleans scene with their original music. \nPrice and Burkart have both contributed to Stone’s recordings and originals from his four releases. A wide range of influences and experiences will be on tap\, alongside some classic acoustic Blues and a few special surprises.
