This online meditation program is led by Ogden Museum Educator and yoga and meditation instructor\, Mikhayla Harrell. All experience levels welcome. Registration required. \nRegistration is FREE\, but if you are able\, please consider a donation of $5 to help us continue to present creative arts programming inspired by Southern art and artists. \nA separate registration is required for each program. Before the program begins\, registrants will receive a link to join the workshop via Zoom. Registration closes 30 minutes before the program begins. \nRegister for July 8\nOn July 8\, we will explore Northside Light by Kendall Shaw. \nKendal Shaw\, Northside Light\, 1961\, Oil on canvas\, Gift of the artist\, 2003.17.1 \nKendall Shaw is a New Orleans artist who gained national and international recognition with the Pattern and Decoration movement in painting. Combining his interests in mathematical patterns and systems\, his work is an accumulation of diagonals and shapes delineated by contrasting colors. “How can I make a work so alive that one must react as if to a living creature overflowing with energy? I want to place life upon the wall.” \nNew to Zoom?\nYou do not have to have a Zoom account to attend a Zoom meeting.
