SUMMARY:Free Family Day Celebrating Earth Day
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Earth Day at Ogden Museum of Southern Art on Saturday\, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. This special event\, Presented by COX\, will feature FREE admission for the community to explore the Museum through environmentally focused art activities\, a Museum-wide scavenger hunt\, family – friendly entertainment\, community partner tables\, a food truck and more!  \nThe featured exhibition showcases artwork created during Story Quilts: A Conservation Collaboration with students from Young Audiences Charter Schools and artist Gina Phillips. The collaborative project\, through COX\, explores sense of place and the importance of recycling.  \nGuests of all ages are invited to explore the Museum and enjoy environmentally-based art activities\, a Museum wide scavenger hunt and family-friendly entertainment by School of Rock and Make Music NOLA. Community partners such as KidsmART will be onsite to provide resources and opportunities for learning and play. Food will be available for purchase from Tanjarine Kitchen. \n
