Join Ogden Muesum in an engaging Fashion Camp focused on sustainability. \nEach morning\, campers will focus on creating an ecologically conscious outfit for an end-of-camp Fashion Show. Afternoons will include movement and runway planning. DESCRIPTION:Photography Camp: Session I\nFor campers entering grades 6 – 12\nJuly 14 through July 18 (1 week) | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. \nDiscover a new way of seeing and explore digital photography in a fun and exciting summer Photography Camp at Ogden Museum. Led by Ariya Martin\, campers will learn the basic elements of photography such as composition\, exposure\, lighting and the functions of the camera while creating meaningful and thought-provoking work. Campers will also explore elements of photography such as storytelling\, portraiture and documentary through daily field trips to area arts institutions. Back in the classroom\, campers will practice art critique  and build a portfolio of work. \nTo close out the week-long program\, campers will select work from their portfolio to showcase in a student-curated exhibition opening on White Linen Night at Ogden Museum. \nCampers are encouraged to bring their own digital camera or phone camera. Membership begins at the low price of $60. \nJoin the O today\n\nAbout Ariya Martin \nAriya Martin (she/her)\, working under the moniker Ariya Aladjem Wolf is a visual artist\, performer and educator based in New Orleans (Bulbancha)\, Louisiana. Aladjem Wolf’s creative work is collaborative in spirit. She is a founding member of Southerly Gold\, an all-female photography collective; performs with the vocal ensemble\, Serpentine\, who use sound and the creation of activated space to facilitate environments for transformation and healing; and co-founded the organization\, One Bird\, dedicated to community youth arts. She is an Associate Professor at the University of New Orleans\, overseeing the photography program. \nShe earned her MFA in Imaging Arts-Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has been an active member of the New Orleans art community since 2006. Her work has been exhibited at various institutions\, including Ogden Museum of Southern Art\, the New Orleans Museum of Art and Acadiana Center for the Arts\, and completed artist residencies at Footnote Centre for Image and Text in Belgrade\, Serbia\, and Kolaj Institute in New Orleans.
