SUMMARY:SOLD OUT: Artist Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This Artist Workshop is sold out! Follow us on Instagram or subscribe to our weekly newsletter to stay up-to-date on all upcoming Artist Workshops and events. \nFollow Us on Instagram Subscribe to our Newsletter \n\nJoin teaching artist Ben Hamburger to learn the foundations of painting cityscapes! \nPainting the built environment (architectural elements\, cars\, roads and sidewalks) can be intimidating. During this workshop\, participants will learn methods to reduce the pressure to draw things “correctly\,” and instead learn how to consider these elements as integral shapes of the composition. \nThe workshop will touch on composition\, perspective\, simplification and massing and painting process. \nParticipants should bring reference photos (a cityscape) from which they will create small compositional sketches to begin an acrylic painting. The workshop will begin with a brief walkthrough of the exhibition Crescent Cityscapes. \nAll materials are provided and all levels welcomed. \n$45 member / $50 not-yet-member \n\n \n \n \n \n Courtesy of Ben Hamburger\n \n \n \n \n \n Courtesy of Ben Hamburger\n \n \n \n \n \n Courtesy of Ben Hamburger\n \n \n \n \n \n Courtesy of Ben Hamburger\n \n \n \n\n\nNot a museum member? Save money on this workshop and others like it\, plus receive exclusive privileges like unlimited free admission\, private exhibition previews and so much more when you join Ogden Museum today!
