Alternatively\, click here to register for the next Artist Workshop with ricRACK exploring textile printing on Saturday\, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. \nA portion of Tina Girouard’s work included a collaboration with Haitian bead artists to create textile pieces. \nJoin educator Marwan Pleasant to learn an American Indian beading style that uses one needle to string and tack down beads creating a design. During the workshop participants will be introduced to the basics of beading onto canvas and will learn how to string a variety of beads and sequins into beautiful imagery. \nThis workshop includes a brief tour of the exhibition Tina Girouard: SIGN-IN. Participants are encouraged to bring an image to use as reference material. \nAll materials are provided. Practicing the skill and techniques used to build his elaborate hand crafted suits\, he adapted a niche for the use of glass beads\, pearls\, rhinestones and storytelling through his art.
