DESCRIPTION:Wednesdays from 1 – 4 p.m.\nJanuary 7\, 14\, 21 and 28 \nJoin Museum Educator Myron Solomon\, Jr. for a four-week journey into mixed media collage! \nExplore how color\, texture and layering can be used to create expressive and meaningful compositions. In this hands-on class\, you’ll experiment with a range of materials and techniques to blend found imagery\, paper and various media into cohesive visual stories. Each session focuses on a new subject matter\, such as landscape\, portraiture\, abstract and still life\, while leaving room for conceptual exploration. \nWhether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist\, this class offers a supportive space to explore\, play and push your creative boundaries. \nSupplies are provided\, but personal collage materials are encouraged. \nQuestions? A Dillard University BFA and School of Visual Arts MFA graduate\, his work pushes beyond traditional New Orleans art while honoring its cultural roots. Exploring existential themes\, Myron uses hyperbole to evoke introspection in his audience. His passion for the arts extends to education\, where he shares his knowledge with youth\, aiming to inspire the same transformative experiences that shaped his own journey.
