SUMMARY:Artist Workshop
DESCRIPTION:On Mother’s Day weekend\, treat your mom to an engaging workshop with artist Eugenia Carmona. The workshop explores the exhibition Crescent Cityscapes through a personal lens – participants will create shadow boxes of their Crescent City memories. \nThe day will begin with a walk-through of Crescent Cityscapes and discussion of the architecture\, mood and technical features of select work. Participants will use notions of memory and mood to create a miniature mixed-media painting. Through a layered composition students will build a shadow box depicting a place that resonates with them. \nParticipants are encouraged to bring photo reference images for the workshop. All painting levels are welcome. \n$45 member/ $50 not-yet-member \n\nNot a museum member? Save money on this workshop and others like it\, plus receive exclusive privileges like unlimited free admission\, private exhibition previews and so much more when you join Ogden Museum today! Having lived a nomadic lifestyle has shaped the ways in which she explores the transferences of topics such as culture\, language\, landscape and spirituality between all the places she has lived. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n/// Event Image: Gideon Townsend Stanton\, Rainy Night on Canal Street (Detail)\, c. 1930\, Oil on canvas\, 25 x 30 inches\, Roger Houston Ogden Collection
