DESCRIPTION:Beginning on Thursday\, January 19\, step into the New Year with the gift of creativity and learning. Join Art Educator Mikhayla Harrell for a fun four-week course exploring techniques in drawing\, painting and mixed media. Learn how to incorporate mindfulness practices with art observation and focus. Get over the hump and into a dedicated art routine. All projects will be inspired by the work from Leaving Appalachia: The Art of Gregory B. Saunders\, the Permanent Collection and Knowing Who We Are: A 20th Anniversary Exhibition. This is a community-based experience with an emphasis on refining process and use of materials. All levels welcome!
