Live Art Challenge for Adults

Experience the Art of the American South with the O from home!

Every other Thursday, from 2 – 3 p.m., join us for a LIVE Art Challenge inspired by a work of Southern art. Use everyday household items to create your own masterpiece!

This live class is led by Ogden Museum Educator, Mikhayla Harrell. Ages 18 and up. All experience levels welcome.

This week, we’re looking at the work of Entwined artist, Sarah Zapata!

Sarah Zapata, A Little Domestic Waste IV, 2017, Natural and synthetic fiber, hand-woven fabric, steel, cement, coiled rope, Collection of the artist

Supplies:

  • Scissors

  • Yarn, string, floss

  • Old clothes you can cut up

  • Any type of string laying around

  • A plastic or paper cup or bowl

  • A large nail or something to poke holes through the cardboard with (scissor point or sharp pencil can work)

  • Old plastic bags

  • A paper or plastic plate, cup or bowl
