Junior Curators Program Fall 2012

This past fall, students from Lafayette Academy Charter School participated in the Junior Curators program at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. The students started by touring the museum carefully looking at works of art, asking questions and taking notes.  After the tour, the students returned to their classrooms and began researching the works of art they observed at the museum. The students then worked in groups to create podcast scripts including information about the artist, history of the artwork and detailed accounts of their own personal interpretations and reactions to the art.  The Ogden Museum presented these 7 podcasts (below) in an  exhibition in our Education Gallery.
